Let’s get this straight I always have and always will be just a liiiiittle bit ridiculously obsessed with necklaces. From the statement(sometimes so, so big) to the dainty, small crafted pieces, I just can’t get enough. From the age of around 15 i’d honed in on this obsession with shopping trips only being successful when I’d strutted on home with something new draping around my neck. Roll on ten years, no better at resisting a splurge and two gynormous necklace holders later, Emma is well and truly in necklace horder heaven.
As we go throughout the months, new seasons emerge and so do new trends. From this we decide which new things we need( yes, need) to purchase. Dictated by fashion but also your own styling, some things may be a hit or miss. Usually this applies to my love of necklace’s as some of em’ are an absolute no go. Whether it’s in ‘fashion’ or not, some can just be down right ugly, unflattering and eye wateringly mingin'( Manc slang for absolutly disgusting). However, on this ONE occasion I eat my words…chokers.Yes, the tight fitted, neck suffocating necklaces, that primarily are worn by domanatrixs, well I was slowly changing my view. Right, don’t get me wrong I’ve found the love for the below; pretty, beaded, golden, beautiful choker. Not those God awful, black, plastic meshed wanna be gothic things. I sound mad, very, veeery mad, but they don’t even deserve the title of a ‘necklace’. BECAUSE IT’S A PLASTIC MONSTROSITY!
So, mad rant later and me rambling as per, I’d like to showcase you my lovely, oh so new choker gifted by Dorathy Perkins at the Fashionchick christmas party. A welcoming suprise and a beautiful gamechanger for any outfit during the Xmas season. I present to you the below, both a close up shot and an outfit view of the beauty. Not to mention some other little choker eye catchers that even if your like me( obviously very over opinionated), then your bound to bloody love em’.
At first I didn’t believe it either, as resembling a dominatrix isn’t usually my style…but, adding edge to your styling, well, who wouldn’t love that? Lookin’ basic aint always a treat, push those boundries ladies, and up that game, as trust me on this one I bloody am!
