As a fashion blogger I get asked to attend quite a few events to cover either a specific brand or PR company. However, this brand that had invited to me attend on Tuesday 10th of March was one I’d never of thought of! Not in rudeness to the brand, but it’s not everyday that a fashion blogger gets an invite for Ladbrooks betting. Or so I thought….

Arriving at Revolution on Deansgate Locks, I knew that quite a few of the other girls were attending so I wouldn’t be doing it alone. As sometimes as amazing as it is to meet new people, it can sometimes be a liiiiittle bit daunting. So, any faces you already know goes down a right treat! Unsure of what to expect when I actually got to the event, I plodded on in, stumbled up the stairs in my heels and eventually made it to the party. And within a matter of minutes there was numerous friendly faces (old and new), Carrie the lovely Ladbrooks publicist and many more. With a very generous amount of free booze, lovely food and cute little cupcakes we nattered the night away until it was time to get our game face on.

Race of the gee gees(these are horses btw)refers to the game in which we played where we “betted” on the horse we thought would win the race. Sadly as per usual…my horse never won and I’m pretty sure I’m destined to NEVER win any kind of betting/lottery. However not one to make a moan, I plodded on upstairs for a few more drinks and a natter with the girls. For those lucky ones(sods) who actually won a race, they were presented with either a gift voucher for shopping or the amazing gift of attending the races themselves. You know like I said not one to moan but WHY COULDN’T I BE ME ha ha…..

All in all I’d had an amazing night, with the opportunity to meet new bloggers, have a laugh with the usual lot and try my hand a “betting”. Cheers Ladbrooks and a special thanks to Carrie- everyone get ya bet on.
