Glamorous: The Opening

The glamorous. The glamorous, glamorous, oh the glamorous the flossy? flossy?”

Okay, so these may not be the exact words, but they’re what spring to mind when I think of the word glamorous. So, thanks to Fergie-ferg, (as she likes to be known), I now have that song in my head on repeat…
You probably wonder what I’m rambling on about but if I roll back to Sunday 16th I’ll catch you up with my great Saturday morning. Held in the Trafford Centre, Glamorous opened itself with a bang. As it’s only full stand-alone store at present, Glamorous is off to headin’ start. With more to be rolled out with time and their concessions still booming in other department stores, such as Bloomingdales, Topshop and more, further domination is on It’s way!
Glamorous has been around now for a few years, but primarily been based online. With beautiful styles and an ever-expanding following of customers it seemed only natural for them to open a stand-alone store. So, when I was invited to attend I snapped up the opportunity having bought items from them previously and knowing just what they were capable of. If their clothes were anything to go by then the store would no doubt be just as amazing, as Glamorous always aims to keep on trend at an affordable budget for their customer.  With fashion and time passing so quickly that it’s sometimes so hard to keep up(and keep the pennies), we welcome Glamorous!

So, roll back a little while ago to myself powering on through the Trafford Centre desperate to get their on time, I stopped short and realised I’d actually come a little early(shockingly for me). Standing outside and admiring the shop whilst nattering to other bloggers too, I realised that the layout and visual of the shop reminded me of Urban Outfitters! With wooden sections and panelling placed all around the shop, it oozed a natural and casual feel which enabled the clothing, shoes and accessories to ‘pop’ out.

Racks of beautiful clothing: Metallic, faux leather and suede galore.

-Bejewelled necklines so that no necklace is required. Creating a boho style for the perfect festival outfit.

Having nibbled on some amazing banana loaf and bucks fizz, we listened to the lovely Natalie from Glamorous whilst she introduced the store and range. After nattering away and stuffin’ my face(as always), I continued to browse around to see just what I could get with my gift voucher. Well, there it was…lo and behold an ammmmazing co-ord set that I couldn’t stop staring at. Okay, so I probably wouldn’t wear the beautiful matching top, but that’s due to my own insecurities. But the skirt, oh yes.

Oh, Hello you beauty

After trying on seeeeveral things later, I’d come to the conclusion that my co-ord, jacquard skirt was just what I needed( not wanted, but needed). Soon to be attending yet another wedding, this was an amazing addition to my wardrobe. With an great print, amazing fabric quality and a bargain price i’d of been an idiot not to. Be sure to catch up on Friday to see a styled photo post which I put together to show this bad boy off!

As time plodded on so many customers swarmed in that there literally wasn’t enough space. So, with that I popped off home seriously content with not only my gift, but the amazin’ morning I’d had. For those of you who haven’t shopped at Glamorous before, be sure to head on down to T.C  or if that aint your cup of tea, shop online. With clothes, shoes and accessories to match every fashionista’s needs you seriously wont be disappointed!
