In case you’re wondering what the hell this hash tag stands for, well my friends this means Cotton Traders Summer Sundown. With Summer drawing to a close and Autumn/Winter rapidly approaching, the lovely people at Cotton Traders decided to throw an event to celebrate the closure of the Summer and all the greatness it held.

-Erm, so just look how pretty it is?

Arriving for 6:45pm and pretty stupidly walkin’ past the location several times, both myself and Alex finally arrived at Allotment Bar, Manchester. Havin’ never been to this bar before I was in serious awe as I walked through the door. From it’s quirky garden feel to it’s amazin’ food(yes, I was staring at other customers meals), we were ushered to a back section where the fun was to begin! After meeting the lovely ladies at Branded3 PR we said our hello’s to the other lovely blogger lot and hit up the bar. In the past I was all down for gettin’ a little merry at an event, but now as I’ve got a little pooch(more like an actual child), only soft drinks beckoned me, and Diet Coke was practically on tap.

After the initial chit chat between us all, the lovely PR ladies decided to give us some gifts, and they were pretty damn cute. Havin’ sent over some photo memories a short time ago we found that they’d printed these off for us, provided a scrap book and we were given the opportunity to compile our Summer memories. As Summer had seriously flown by so quick this was an amazin’ idea to keep us from forgetting anything we’d loved.

If you know me, I am seriously so grateful for any opportunity that comes along. Oh, and if that opportunity comes with a good spread of food then I’m absolutely bloody delighted! And this spread my friends was an absolute dream, Allotment bar had done so, so well. With plates and plates of food it was fair to say we weren’t gonna go hungry, but after a little bit of munchin’ it was time to play some fun games.

Bringin’ out a questionnaire based on how much we’d all actually took in from the news over the Summer period we all eagerly waited on our scores. Let’s just say…I didn’t win. Either I’m totally shocking at reading the actual news (sorry Daily Mail doesn’t count, Emma) or my brain is like a sieve. Either way, after the winners received their gift cards(pft, just a bit jealous) we all nattered again and slowly the night drew to a close.

In all honesty when you head to some events they can be so structured and planned that you don’t feel like you’re havin’ fun yet this was totally not one of them. Being able to chat for a few hours, indulge in lots of yummy food and have a genuine laugh is what makes us bloggers truly happy. Thanks to Branded3 and Cotton Traders for an amazing night. Oh, and for showing me yet another place for me to get even chubbier at (see you soon Allotment bar).

P.s As if the night couldn’t get any better, Cotton Traders had packed us all up a survival kit containing all Winter warmers to get us on through. With a hot water bottle(see here), warming socks, hot chocolate, biscuits and more I was happily on my way to that cold weather. Cheers Cotton Traders, it’s gonna be a pretty warm Winter.
