Blogger events seem to all come rollin’ in at once and this usually happens on the run up to Christmas (Eeeeee excitement). So, when those amazin’ opportunities come you lap them up and go have a great time! Such a great time was what occurred on Friday 23rd through to Sat 24th of October and oh it was oh, so good. Around a week ago I was kindly sent through an email asking if I’d like to attend an event which to this day was possibly one of the best I’d ever been to. With food, drinks, bloggers, a rested night and shopping, well how the HELL COULD I SAY NO?
Roll on last Thursday night and I excitedly packed my suitcase, tryin’ on clothes whilst attempting to paint my toe nails, I made sure everything was done so I’d have a great time. With the clock hittin’ 5:30 come Friday afternoon I headed on over to Piccadilly where id’ park for the night and set up in my room thanks to the lovely Premier Inn. A double room each, views of Manchester and approximately 12 minutes to sort my hair and makeup out, off we went to the meet in the reception.
With 20 bloggers chosen, the beautiful host Megan Ellaby and the lovely PR ladies off we went to chow on down at San Carlo, Fumo in Manchester. This ridiculously good event was all thanks the The Front Row Society and Propellernet, a team which aims to get all creative individuals meetin’ up, socialising and doing what they do best, blogging! It was fair to say we all received the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Through several sharing plates we literally attacked each one as though we’d never been fed, only to be told that yeah, those we’re only the starters. Right I know I’m a chubba who loves food but oh.my.god, more? I know what you’re thinkin’ c’mon now Emma you still attacked it didn’t ya….
After a further 7 plates (including desert) the food slowly grinded to a halt. However, that couldn’t be said for the wine….after several bottles doin’ the round, blogger questions and general chit chat we all managed to gain more info/talk to those bloggers who although we live in the same city/region, just hadn’t met yet! And if this wasn’t just good enough mega-blogger Megan Ellaby was
there to have a little natter with too. Which by the way she’s probably even more photogenic and lovely in real life-totally.not.fair.
Myself and Katie attackin’ the ridiculously big dessert.
After SO much food, a little fuzzy wine head and a seriously lovely evening we decided to leave and head on out for a boogie. Hittin’ up Lammars, throwing back some Corona’s and dancing with some pretty weird people it was time for me to call it a night. After all that lazy left eye wasn’t lookin’ so attractive and the double bed awaiting me was. Clambering back to the hotel with Martina we said our goodbyes and I slipped into that big bed and drifted off to sleep.
Waking around 7:30am and realisin’ it was far too early I snoozed that alarm and slid back down into my amazing bed. After a further 50 minutes drifting in and out of sleep I headed on down for breakfast with the other lovely blogger lot. Loading up on yet more food in the form of a full English we finished scoffing our faces and decided to pack for leaving the hotel.
Before we’d left we made sure we met up with the lovely ladies who chaperoned the event and whilst we said our thanks and goodbyes we we’re given yet more amazin’ things. These ‘things’ being a £40 gift card for Manchester Arndale, some sweets and a map of top places to visit as per Megan’s tips. So myself, Katie and Frankie decided to head into town hittin’ up shops and trying on loads of things. After around an hour and a half (with 20 mins of me probably starin’ at the item I ended up buying), we were all set to head off home. We’d had a seriously amazing time, said our goodbyes and clambered to our cars and headed off. Be sure to check in soon as I’ll reveal just what I bought with that gift card.
I just want to say a maaaassive thankyou to The Propellernet,Front Row Society and Premier Inn as without their delicious food, extra comfy beds and amazing gifts I’d of been sat home most probably eating sausage rolls.
