Friday night, Duff, drinks and a whole load of food equals a VERY happy Emma. If you know me, not only can you tell from my chunky butt, but I LOVE food. Whether it’s salads, burgers or tapas, I’m always down for a bit of grub. So, when the lovely Vapiano invited me to come eat a three course meal at their Manchester Corn Exchange restaurant, I was right on down. Saying YES very quickly and wishing the days away, two weeks later I found myself arriving at the venue with boyfriend in tow and sittin’ on down to meet my food fate.
In total honesty, I’ve never been to a Vapiano before or heard of it so I was a lil’ hesitant to the whole self ordering process. Think Nandos style but so, SO much better. After being directed to our seats and ordering a drink we browsed the menu and I headed on up to order my food. For all of you who don’t know how Vapiano works, you go to each station i.e ‘Pasta, Risotto, Pizza’ etc, let them know what you want, they then make it on the spot with fresh ingredients and you simply swipe your table card. With the plates totalling up on the card and me, ordering possibly what felt like everything in the joint, I was seriously impressed with Vapiano.
A meat platter, Garlic bread, Strawberry Salad and a chocolate Nutella mousse desert down(whilst also feeling morbidly obese), we chatted to the lovely waitress who had helped us all night and then exited feeling pretty amazing.
Thanks to Vapiano, the lovely waitress’ and the PR team for an incredible night, I’ll definitely be back!
See below for a few snapshots taken from the night.
Because there’s always room for a meat and bruschetta platter, yeah?
Okay, so as amazing as this strawberry salad was, it probably wasn’t my finest move to be gettin’ a salad when the Carbonara (stolen from the bf, Duff) was on offer.
Finished off with these beauties.
-Have you ever tried Vapiano?
