-Pretty white buildings galore all around downtown New York. Whilst everyone on the tour bus was snapping the major tourist spots, here I was photographing white washed apartments…..Yeah, I’m a bad loser.
A month back now (sigh), you’d of heard that I’d gone to New York as it was LITERALLY the only thing I talked about(see here). Whether it was about me going, been before or what I was going to pack, well, you’d be been bored of me…. Roll on weeks later and here I am wrapped up on the couch with a brew whilst ridiculously wishing I was back there.
I’d initially thought this blog post post should be a total low down from A-Z on where you should hit up if you went to NYC. But, what I’ve decided to do is show you some pretty pictures of ridiculously amazin’ places which will either inspire you to go book that plane ticket, or give you a lil’ bit of wanderlust.
As after all who doesn’t want a little bit of that. eh?
– One of the most iconic places in New York (and a key area from Home Alone) which ultimately made me fall in love with this city from simply watching the TV. From watching films at Christmas to being able to see this beauty of a place twice in two years, well, I’m pretty bloody lucky.
P.s I didn’t get to skate the rink, but that’d be ah-maaaaaazing to do.
-If you didn’t take a picture in Central Park, did you even really go to NYC? A snapshot above of myself, mum, sis and her boyfriend all pretending not to be freezing our ass off in sub zero temperatures.
– Possibly the most touristy thing you could EVER do, but also so so good. Making it easier to get around, gaining lots of inside NYC knowledge and parking your bum because it’s seriously one big ass city, I’d totally recommend getting on boar the sightseeing bus.
– Remember that scene in Sex And The City where Charlotte gets proposed to outside Tiffany’s by Trey? Well, that didn’t happen to anyone on our lil’ trip but it’d be stupid not to pass here. Amazing in size(like everything in NYC) and with ridiculously beautiful jewels in the window, it’s that kind of place that you pretend you could shop any of the things in the window….
Yeah, alright Emma. You’re broke.
-One World Trade Centre. Possibly one of the saddest yet most humbling places you could visit. Making you realise just how amazing life is and to go out and eat that third burger, because life is scarily too short. Or so I told myself. Daily.
You can do many trips at the centre, from the observation deck to museum and more. And trust me whatever you do, you won’t regret it.
-Times Square; the pinnacle of NYC with those red steps Jay Z and Alicia Keys sang on( you know your singing ‘NEW YOOOOORK’ in your head right now), and the one place on earth your eyes are totally mesmerised by everything going on. Although you’ve gotta visit this place when your there, in total honesty it was pretty much like a pimped out Blackpool that charged 20 dollars for a diet coke. Make sure this isn’t your main place throughout your stay!
–Juniors, Brooklyn- OH.MY.GOD. Talk about savin’ the best till last…..
No word of a lie and all sarcasm aside, this was the best place I think we ate all week.Maybe ever. With massive sandwiches, milkshakes and without a doubt the best cheesecake I’d ever tasted. Make sure to hop across the river to this place whether it’s by boat, walking the bridge or even flying over if you have to.
Although I’ve only given a few photo’s, these are just the beginning of all the snapshots I’d taken that week. Be sure to check back soon where I’ll be spamming you (and depressing myself) with even MORE photo’s.
