What To Wear To A Wedding | Fashion
It’s nearly Summer, (or maybe it’s actually already arrived?!)… It just definitely doesn’t feel like it as I’m currently snuggled in a hoodie and socks on the couch. And with Summer comes the need for constantly shaved legs, new hair colour, a whole new wardrobe and 5,000 weddings too. Because if you’re like me, then your boyfriend is a lil’ older and all his mates are gettin’ hitched, so you find yourself at a never ending stream of weddings, and with these weddings means so many new wedding outfits- Argh.
Its not to say that I don’t love a wedding because I do. But, what I do hate is the ordeal of tryin’ to find that bangin’ (meaning amazing) dress which covers your lumps and bumps, keeps you comfortable for a long day of drinking, but also makes you feel fierce AF too?
You may have had a nosey at my latest blog post which features our home renovation, and if you’d seen the massive refurb we’d done to this property, and the money spent, everything I buy now seems to be furnishing and not clothes. Which FYI proper upsets me. So, to spend money on dresses makes me feel a lil’ sick when you’ve got two couches to pay off and new blinds for the back room, meaning that a good dress investment is always needed from now on.You know, that dress you can wear multiple times; if it’s a family meal, with your gals or pottering around your new gaff because you’re goin’ to make sure you’ve got every penny worth out of it.
Which brings me to this beauty in the images below. Surprisingly from Pretty Little Thing and after the first dress I tried on after ordering 4 other dresses at the same time, this fit like a glove, was the most affordable, and seriously beautiful. Normally for me, clothes from PLT are a lil’ skimpy and don’t suit my fat arse, but this dress was completely different and by far shows the diverse range they actually do have.
With the dress being so intricate and full of detailing, I wanted to keep the accessories simple. So, with some trusty black court heels and a rose gold clutch, I headed on down to the wedding feeling all kinds of good, and determined to show this dress off to the max. Which if my drunk strut of walk is anything to go by, I’d of done just that. Except it most probs wasn’t as cool as I thought….
P.s This wedding actually took place at the beautiful Peckforton Castle (absolute wedding goals)- To check it out, click here
Lil tip: To lengthen those legs, be sure to wear a heel with no front fastening as it makes you appear longer from the tip of your toes up…..and hopefully that makes your legs look slimmer too, yeah?
